Christian Fantasy Football League

As most of you all know my husband loves sports. I think his favorite season is football. During football season there is some game on at all times. It doesn't matter if it is college or NFL. He is in 3 fantasy football leagues. The league that he has been in the longest is the CFL and this league was founded in 1995. He is the commissioner of this league.

They are so little!

Nanny & Hannah

My mom and Hannah! Hannah thinks it is real funny to blow kisses at Nanny instead of giving them to her. Hannah's kisses are few and far between. Nanny gives her kisses and she is ok with it.

Sick Kids

Jake and Emily have got the bug that has been going around. Emily has had it for a while, and Jake just got it. He actually missed school Friday, because he had a 101.3 temperature, a runny nose, and a splitting headache. He came home last night and crashed around 8, which is rare for him. Emily has been coughing, and has had a runny nose as well. Hope they get better soon!!

Emily's Open House

Emily with her drawing of the Pogoda in China we climbed this summer.
Emily with her collage of photos from summer vacations.
Emily had her open house last night at school. She really loves school this year. She has already made alot of friends, and she loves all of her teachers. And I loved going to the Open House, because alot of my buddies from school were there for their younger siblings as well. Here's some pictures from some of the projects that she has already done.

UCLA

We had our appointment at UCLA today for her hearing test. It was really interesting how they test little kids for hearing. They have you sit in the middle of the room with speakers on each side of the room. They make sounds from soft to loud to see if the child will turn their heads to look at the speakers. Once they turn their heads they flash a picture on the wall. They also test Hannah's pressure in her ears. Her hears were completely full of fluid. The audiologist is making a suggestion to put PE tubes in her ears. These tubes will drain the fluid off of her ears.
After we had her appointment we drove over to The Grove for dinner. My parents and I went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We have an appointment next Friday at the plastic surgeon so I will keep you posted.

Update on Hannah

Hannah has been trying to find stuff to do around the house, since Jake and Emmie aren't around to play with her. She has been doing very good though. She likes to play with her toys, and to annoy Jake's cat, Jasmine.
We have had several doctor's appointments this last week for her upcoming surgery. On Wednesday we had an appointment with the peditrician for a pre-op visit. The doctor we saw was very thorough. She is doing several lab tests on her to check different levels (lead, parasites, and I can't remember what else). The doctor's office translated her vaccination record and Hannah had to get 5 vaccines to get her all caught up. It was awful she screamed her head off. I just got her calmed down and they had to do lab work. She was one unhappy camper again. When we got in the car she was exhausted. Tomorrow we have an appointment at UCLA for a hearing test.

Hannah and Carson

Two goof balls playing around in the kitchen
Honey, we don't need to ask for directions, I know where I am going.
Oh look! A camera! Smile!!!!
We're making a left turn!!! (That was for all you NASCAR fans out there!)
Wow. Hannah and Carson are so cute!! Carson loves to play with "Anah". He got the baby stroller, and pushed Hannah around in it! They love to play together. Carson is pretty protective over Hannah. I guess she's his "little sister".

Football Draft

This is the official Couch Potatoe League headquarters. No one knows where it is, except for those who have already been there.
Just a little bit of pizza. . . Papa John's Take 'N Bake is the best pizza in Bakersfield.

This past weekend we had Couch Potatoe League fantasy football draft. It was alot of fun with all of the guys out at the house drafting the best players in the NFL. We had alot of fun talking about football, joking around, and just hanging out. Carson came out to see his "Hot Asian Girlfriend" -wink wink-.

Emily had to make a poster of her summer. She did an awesome job. It has pictures of China all over it. She is a very talented girl. She scrap booked it. It looks awesome. Putting her poster together.

Milkshake

On the way home from UCLA we stopped to get a treat. Hannah had her first McDonald's milkshake.

1st UCLA Appointment

We went to UCLA today for Hannah's first appointment. We met with team of doctors to find out the plan of action for her cleft lip and pallate. It was a very good appointment. I felt good about the decisions that they made. The plastic surgeon is going to repair her lip first. They are going to repair the pallate when she is about 5 or 6 years of age. They want to wait for her adult teeth to come into place. When this starts to happen they will do a bone graph. It is all amazing to me. Hannah did a great job meeting with everyone. We have to call to get her on the surgery schedule next Monday. After our appointment we went to dinner with Ron, Karen and Tyler. Tyler is doing great! It was fun to see them. We have not seen them since China.
