Orientation

We had orientation this morning. There where about 20 families there. There are 13 families in our group. The other families are going to other provinces to receive their children. It has been a fun day. We got the scoop on the rest of our trip this morning. We also received a beautiful book on Hannah. It had all the information that we will need to know about her. It had the feeding, sleeping, and playing schedule. We will be getting Hannah tomorrow around 2:30 pm.

Relaxing

Marcy, kids and I had a very quite day. We got up and had breakfast at the buffet. If I have not mentioned the hotel has a great breakfast buffet. We fill up in the morning and don't eat till dinner. After we had breakfast we went window shopping. The kids went swimming and Marcy and I sat at talked for several hours. We had a nice quite day. David got back around 6:00 pm from his trip. He said it was AWESOME! We went to a THAI restaurant. It was really good. We are very tired and tomorrow starts our busy days ahead. We have orientation and a group lunch. Holt is taking us on a walking tour of the island and to an art museum. I am very tired I am going to bed.

Xiamen Trip ( Sha-men)

David wanted pictures to prove that he really went to the granite factory in China. These monuments are huge!!
Inside the polishing factory. Women do all the polishing. How ironic is that?
This is the artist that made this etching that David bought for Hannah.
This is how she does the etchings ALL by hand. Not with an electric stylus.
Hello Kitty!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't it look hugable? OUR new lawn decoration! (NOT)

Nighttime in Guangzhou

Oooh-Lala! Nighttime here is AWESOME! It looks like something out of a Batman film! Alot of the taller buildings have bright neon colors, and green lasers at the tops. They blast music across the river, and alot of the dinner boats are tricked out in neon as well.

Barbie

When you stay at the White Swan all adopting families get a Barbie, but is not just your regular Barbie doll. This Barbie doll is called the Going Home Barbie. Barbie is carrying a China BABY!

Starbucks for Jeff

Jeff this one is for you!

We stopped by after going to the market. This kids really expressed how they felt selfish sitting in Starbucks drinking coffee when their are so many people who never will get to have Starbucks. I hope they realize how lucky they really are. I think they are also realizing how blessed we are to be getting Hannah. She is going to be a true blessing to all of us.

Qingping Free Market

I really don't know where to start with this one. Marcy and I thought it would be a great idea to take Jacob and Emily to this outdoor market. I was an adventure of a life time. We saw EVERYTHING! It really makes me appreciate what I have at home. Emily was scared to death I think. The people really stared her down. Jacob was overwhelmed with the market. I think they both got a good taste of a third world country. Look at the pictures at your own risk. They serve everything and I mean everything.

Fish I think!
Marcy taking pictures of all the dead drying snakes.
Snakes drying on the sidewalks
Snake anyone?
Emily soaking in the wonderful things.
Dinner?
I hope this is not anyone's dinner tonight. Yes this kitty has a rope around is neck tied to the brick.
Living Quarters.
Lunch! Not on your life.

Spices, dried seahorses, starfish, snakes, fish, turtles, and many other things!

Hannah is 14 months today!

We are here!

Follow the red line!
Playing scrabble at 38,000 feet!

Are we almost there YET!

I just wanted to post a quick message to let everyone know that we made it. I will post pictures of our fun filled plane ride later. The White Swan Hotel is awesome. I am going to take the kids swimming to burn off some energy. This jet lag stuff is awful! My body feels like it is night time and it is only 2:oo in the afternoon. Love you all!
Remember we are a day ahead of you all.
