After meeting with Dave, we hit up Disneyland for the afternoon. It was really great to get back into the park. It's A Small World has been updated, as well as the Haunted Mansion. Small World has the most signifigant changes. They have added an odd twenty Disney/Pixar characters strewn about the attraction. Now, me personally, I think the changes look great, and the characters are very well hidden throughout the ride. A very BIG thanks goes to Aunt Marcy, she gave us all gift cards to ESPN Zone, and we ended up paying just $5.00 for the meal! What a deal, huh? Well, I'm going to shut up and let you get onto the pictures.

Ok, I'm updating this in the car, and on the way to Disneyland. So, I just had lunch with Dave Smith, the Disney Archivist. It was really awesome!! He gave me some much information!! It was really awesome to just sit down and talk Disney with him. Did you know that when you ride Pirates of the Caribbean, right before you get to the skeleton pirate ship, you're sitting right underneath the loading dock? Then you go outside the park's berm. And there was 4 possible locations Disneyland could've been at instead of Anaheim? It was really amazing, and can't wait to write this paper! I'll post the pics when I get home since I forgot my camera cord at home.

Surf on The Turf

Tonight me and Hannah invented a new..."game". She has a really cool backpack/leash, that we use when we go places to give Hannah a little bit of "freedom". Well, tonight, she came up to me, and wanted me to put it on. She normally does this and just runs around the house with it, and puts random stuff in the little backpack. Well, tonight, she wanted me to pull her around the island of the kitchen! She signed please, and looked up with those deep, dark brown almond eyes, and I couldn't resist! So, after many laps, and a near hole on the seat of her footsie-pajamas, we had to call it a night. She cried for the longest time when I had to tell her no more....now I know how hard it is to resist the temptation of playing with her after her bedtime! Well, there's always tomorrow night!!

Pig Tails

Hannah's hair is finally long enough that we can do pig tails. She was so funny when I did her hair. She kept bobbing her head back and forth!

Look who figured out how to climb on our barstools?? Not good at all. I think this kid has part monkey in her or something. She climbs on EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

Tonight Emily and I went to Janel's (Kristin's sister -Kristin is Jake's girlfriend for those who don't know) birthday party. It was alot of fun!!! Our feet are really sore, but hey, it was totally worth it. It gave us time to just hang out and have fun with friends. Sometimes it's good to get away from the fam..lol. Anyways, here's some pictures of tonight. I've got to go to bed, because I have yet another late night tomorrow night. Yes, formal is finally here! So, look for another update soon!!

Happy Chinese New Year

Update on us!

We have had a busy week. David left on Tuesday night for Indiana. He is at the Monument Builders of North America convention. He calls us everyday to give us the updates on the conference. He is learning lots. We are missing him a bunch. Jacob's foot his healing well. He says it is still sore, but he won't give up baseball. Emily is all done with her Constitution testing. She told me on Tuesday that she passed it. She is very relieved that it is all over. She started basketball and she has her first game on Monday. Now on to Hannah. Hannah has done so many little things this week. I noticed on Thursday that she has cut a tooth though the missing part of her gum(palate). I was very excited, because this means that there are teeth in there. Hannah is missing her daddy very much. I think she is a little confused with me taking and picking Jacob and Emily to school. Today I laid her down for a nap in her crib like I do everyday. I went in to check on her a few minutes later she had climbed out of her crib and went to sleep by the door. Jacob took the front rail off to make her bed a big girl bed. I was dreading bed time tonight, but it went much better than I thought. I actually did the Super Nanny advice on getting kids to stay in the beds..It worked!!!!!! It only took me about 15 mins. Hopefully every night will go as smooth. I hope all is well with everyone. Naptime

Mom put Hannah down for a nap today, and she cried for a while, then we didn't hear anything. We went in to check on her, and she CLIMBED out of her crib, and fell asleep by the door!! So, Jacob had to go take off the side of her crib, to change it into the "big girl's bed".

The Grove

The Farmers Market is just 1/2 of the Grove. There's alot of different places (of many ethnicities) to eat at. The greatest thing is that the places in the Farmer's Market are really cheap!

Hannah at dinner. She actually screamed "Da!" and then folded her hands and looked at dad and waited until he prayed. It was so sweet!!!!

We went down to the Grove Sunday. It was really fun to just get out of the valley for a day. It was really sunny, and in the upper 70's ALL DAY! We hardly bought anything, and just went down there to spend time together as a family (hard to come by these days!). This is one place that is really great to just chill, and hang out. We went to Maggiano's for dinner, and had a great time just enjoying the quiet relaxing day.

Jake pulled a "Plaxico Burress"

Well, yesterday I had to go wash the cars. Nothing big right? I pulled out the power washer to get the cars super clean (you know, me being the good son that I am..) I had the sprayer sitting on my foot, and I leaned over to turn the washer on. Little did I know, that the sucker was turned on high!!! The sprayer went off, and now I have a crater ontop of my foot. I will warn you, the pics are a bit gory, and not for the faint of heart.

The Stork met the BABY!!!

Hannah and I went on the lunch run to Subway today. While I was there The FEDEX man "The stork" was there. He approaches me and ask if this was the baby he delivered. I proudly said YES. He told me that our package was one of the funnest packages he has ever delivered. He kept telling me that Hannah was pretty cute. We think so to. After I got in the car I kept wondering how many Fed-Ex guys/women ever get to see the babies that they deliver to our houses. When they our delivering them to us they propably think we are some odd folks for asking for pictures and watching us cry as they hand our packages to us. I don't think I will ever forget that mans reaction as we ask for his picture.

6 months today

Today marks our 6 months that we recieved Hannah. It has been an amazing 6 months. She has adjusted quite well. She is really a precious treasure that God gave us. Loving my big brother and big sister!! Taken tonight January 7.

Jacob and Emily went to the show today with some friends to see this movie. They said it is an AWESOME movie. A real tear jerker. So take your tissues.

The Hulk

Hannah loves to watch movies and eat popcorn with her daddy. This was the movie of choice for this Saturday night. The guys enjoyed it.

Hannah is 20 months

Hannah is 20 months old today! It seems like we have had her forever. I am amazed my what Hannah has learned over the last 6 months that we have had her. She is so inquisitive. She is so cute. She is doing really well. We have no more infections. I am very cautious where we take her. Germx is my friend. :) Sitting pretty!
