Strawberry Jam

We had a bunch of strawberries that we didn't know what to do with, so Emily & I decided to turn into jam. We found a recipe in a great crock pot cookbook " Make It Fast, Cook It Slow" by Stephanie O'Dea.  I picked up the book at Disneyland when David & I went down for the Food and Wine Fest. Since it is summer time and it makes the house out to cook.  I am trying new recipes in the good old crock pot.  I love my crock pot.

Gotcha Day two years later!!

Just over two years ago, we traveled as a family of four, to become a family of five. We spent three weeks in a Country filled with a large language barrier, communism, and major religious differences. But those three weeks were some of the best weeks of our lives. The whole reason we went was to get my little sister, and my parent's daughter.

Now, two years into the future, we're a happy family of five. God has blessed us with an amazing sister/daughter. Nan Qi Huan, or Hannah Mei Joy Williams is hard to describe, because there's not enough words to accurately describe her. She is almost always happy, and always full of energy. Her vocabulary has quite literally EXPLODED. She comprehends EVERYTHING, and she can even hold a legitimate phone conversation with someone. We just recently got her into gymnastics (the first lesson was a little rocky, as she was really nervous, but she's doing great now!), because she's constantly climbing, jumping, rolling off things. I, as her big brother can't wait to see what God has planned for her life. Whether that be the....*counts the years*....I believe 2024 Summer Olympics for gymnastics, or something else, I can't wait to see her succeed at whatever makes her happy. She's already blown my mind with all that she can do at three years old, I can't wait to see what she does as she grows up.

Sisters forever

Emily & Hannah have the neatest relationship! It has been so much fun to watch their relationship develop over the last two years. Emily is the best big sister a little girl could ask for. Emily can think of such neat fun things to do with Hannah. Hannah loves her so much!!

4th of July!!

We had a wonderful weekend with our girls.  Jacob is in Branson, MO with some special friends of ours. We missed him a bunch. It was fun to see Hannah's reactions to all of the excitement of the holiday!! It brings me to tears when I think that she has been home for two 4th of July's and this wonderful country has given her that freedom to grow to know Christ and enjoy the freedom that she would have never had in China! Thank you Lord for bringing this precious child into our lives. God Bless the USA for giving us our freedom!!
