Ok, I hope I can make sense through this update. Hannah's temperature stayed down all day today. Her medication levels are now in the normal range which is good. Her white blood cell count is coming down also. PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!! It started out at 32,000, normal is 11,000. Today it was at 27,000. This means the medication is working. Tonight when they where doing the dressing change the nurse could not get any more infection out, but they still don't know if there might still be some in down lower in her leg. Hannah has been an awesome trooper through this whole thing. Hopefully we wouldn't have to be there much longer. It just depends on the medication and how it responds to the infection. The doctor said that if she responds well to the medication they may send us home with a pick line and we will be able to give her the meds at home.
I have to say that Jacob and Emily have also been real troopers through this also. Emily helped today get all of Hannah's toys and bed sterilized just in case it is contagious. Jacob has helped make sure everything in the house was getting cleaned also. They just keep telling me "Mom we don't want this stuff". It really upsets them watching Hannah go through all that she has gone through in her short time with us. I am usually pretty good about handling medical stuff when it comes to my kids, but I am really having a hard time with this. I am getting really tired of the doctors and nurse having to poke her over and over again. I know it needs to be done, but it is hard to watch. When Jake and Em are there they just start crying and leave the room. Thank GOD I have an awesome husband and father that we can depend on. Kids I just want to thank you for all that you have done. I love you, Mom.
