Grandkids surprise sleepover!

Yesterday Jake called me to see if we would like to have the kids for the night.......Duh!!!! Yes!!!! Hannah and I drove to Santa Clarita to meet them to pick up the kids and have dinner. I say that is a fun way to start the new year. Also, Hannah drove all the way to Santa Clarita. She did amazing driving over the grapevine on a holiday weekend! It is crazy for me to think she is old enough to drive. Our grandkids left this morning with their Nonny and Papa to spend time at the Atascadero house. They are going to have a blast. We will see them on Friday for another sleepover before they head home.

Coke Cola tradition

There was a tradition that was started by our two older kids in 2012. They started a challenge of who could take the coolest Coke Cola photo between Christmas and New Years. Over the years it has expanded to several photos taken by whoever is at our house over New Years. There have been some very creative photos taken over the years. This year has been a little different for us. Most of the photos were taken in Arizona, since a very special gal is getting married to her sweet heart in a couple of weeks. The Yarger's were unable to make it to California this year. We have broken the 11 year streak. Don't worry next year we will all be back together! As for Jake and Emily doing there challenge with each other that still continues. They still take a photo and send to to each other. This is the twelveth year of their creativness. I hope this tradition continues throughout the years to come.

We Voted!

David and I had the opportunity to help our oldest daughter with her absentee ballot.  Where we live there is not a polling station, so we get our ballots in the mail. We went over every proposition and candidates.  It may have taken forever, but that's okay.  Emily was able to ask lots of questions and express her opinion. It was exciting to see her experience this for the first time.  Even at the age of 21 she was very eager to have our help with this.  When we were all done she said it is very overwhelming with all the details that that write in the laws that can be very misleading. Our ballots are signed and will be delivered first thing this morning. It is our duty as American citizens to vote. So go out and vote today.

Curve Balls

You know life just throws you some curve balls once in awhile.  This summer seems to be on BIG curve ball.  I just think I have our plans all figured out and everything organized ........Bam a curve ball comes our way.  I am having to learn how to handle these curve balls.  If you handle them in a wrong way it could hurt a lot of people, but it you handle them with God's help hopefully we will get a home run out of it.  I am excited to see the outcome of this summer and all that it is throwing at us.  Just a few bumps along the way. :)

Williams Family Update

Quick update on our family.  I guess I will start with myself first.  I have been really busy as a wife, mom and everything with work.  This week for me has been one of the hardest weeks I have ever had a work.  We had an audit for all of our books from the last two years. I have had to answer questions that were so hard.  I made it through and learned lots to improve my job. One thing I am pretty excited about is that I am going to be going through a Quickbooks training to become certified. Then after that training I will be taking an Excel class. This will only make me better in my job.

David has been busy with work and doing some fun projects along with the memorials he is doing. He is playing softball once a week with a group of guys. He is also involved with the men's Bible study group at church and enjoying every minute of it. He said he has learned so much.  I have to say I am married to one AWESOME dude. He makes my life so much better. He is my friend, soulmate, love of my life!!! God Blessed with an amazing husband. Thank you David for everything.

Emily is doing really well. She is house supervisor for a residential facility. She is really good at it. She loves her clients that she takes care of. Emily is still "shooting" people with that camera. She has been house sitting a lot this summer for lots of people. She is loving being a big sister to her little sis! Have to say Hannah gets very spoiled by her big sis!! I love watching their relationship grow.

Hannah is doing amazing.  She is loving gymnastics. She is pretty good at it too.  She is preparing for the upcoming competition season. Hannah is scheduled for surgery for her palate repair and nose revision on August 13.  I have to say that she is in good hands with the UCLA team.

Jake and Hailey are doing really well. They have completed their Junior year at Cal State Bakersfield. Hailey is working part time as an intern at CSUB for the summer, and they are getting closer to fulfilling their dreams and moving to L A.
That should happen sometime in 2016 after they graduate.

I do have to say one last thing. I will be posting more on here than on Facebook. I want to try to have a journal of our family. On Facebook it is hard to do that. I am hoping everyone is having a wonderful summer and try to stay cool. Enjoy your friends and family. Life is way to short to have drama!!  Please bookmark this site and check back to see what the Williams Family is up too!!

God Bless!

Happy Birthday Hannah

Today is this little cutie's seventh birthday. There are couple of  questions that I ask myself every year on her birthday. I often wonder if her biological mom thinks about her and wonders how she is?  I know seven years ago God created a beautiful child that would be our daughter 14 months later. Hannah has grown so much this year. She is reading like a little champ and  she LOVES gymnastics. She is starting to share her hopes and dreams. Her main goal right now is to go to the 2024 Summer Olympics for gymnastics. She flipping and tumbling all over the house all the time. I look at her everyday in amazement that God placed her with us for David and I to be the parents to this bright eyed, happy, and goofy child. I just love her so much!! I just want you to know Hannah Mei-Joy we love you so much and are super excited to see what God has in store for you!! Happy Birthday Pumpkin Bug!!!

Pedicure

Hannah thought I needed to change my toe nail polish tonight. She gave me a pedicure. She did a good job too. My foot is still swollen and very bruised. I feel like I am carrying around an extra five pounds on my leg with that boot. Only a another week of so. I am very thankful isn't broken.

Hannah

Hannah sat down across from Emily filing papers for me. She was a happy camper to be done with school today! I just love this kids smile.

Siblings

I love getting these kids of pictures of our kids! They have had a rough few months. Lots of changes in both of their lives. I think they both realize that their bond is thick and NO ONE is going to change it. I do have to say they are tight and watch out world, because here they come with both guns a blazin. Do not try to break them up, because it is not going to work.
