First Doctor's Visit
Well we had our first experience with Hannah at the doctor today. She was fine until he started listening to her heart and lungs. She has a throat infection and really congested. No fever!! We are on the antibiotics that I brought and decongestion meds. Hannah screamed all the way back to the hotel. Once we got back here and striped her down to her diaper and gave her some cherrios she calmed down. She is fine until she thinks I am going to hand her off to some one. I think I have a Velcro baby. Emily has not even tried to pick her up yet. She starts to cry if she even thinks Emily is going to get her. Hannah will play with her if she is sitting on my or David's lap. She let Jacob pick her up once and she started to cry. He did seem to care that she was crying. If you turn the T.V. on she calms down really fast. I have to say I am still trying to figure out her likes and dislikes. I think she is going through some grieving. It is really sad. She holds on to me for dear life. That has been our day. Hopefully getting some medication in her and some sleep we will see the true Hannah in a couple of days. I gotta go for know it is dinner time here.

The pictures have been great. I wish I could be there in China with you guys. I'd love to hold Hannah. I could go out with Jacob and Emily and have a "Starbucks and Snake Snack." Say that 5 times fast. :-) THANKS for sharing your lives with all of us. May God fill each of you with peace... not because everything is smooth sailing, but because He's the one who's in the boat with you. It makes all the difference. Love you guys, Kim :-)
I have been praying specifically for Hannah as I am sure she is greiving. Emily, don't get your feelings hurt that you haven't had a chance to hold her yet. Just know your day WILL come and this little girl is going to just love you and Jake. I remember the relationship I had with my little sister when she was little. She would come to me before my mom many times because I spent so much time playing with her and holding her. Trust me, she will eventually build trust in you. Do a funny dance for her! Ha! Ha! She is just very scared and confused right now with all the newness. Enjoy your time playing with her!!! She is so cute!!!
Christie, I am so glad to hear you and Hannah are bonding. It sounds like she definitely knows who her momma is and that is incredible!! Has she said any words yet??
Love you all and miss ya! So glad you are able to update us from China. It is so awesome following along. In many ways, I feel like I am their with ya! My heart is at least!
Praying for you daily!!

Just had to share with you my morning reading froma Psalm 107:1-9
"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and thristy, their soul fainted in them.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
Hannah is so blessed that God has delivered her, hungry and thisty for food, but most of all love, into the arms of a Godly family who will love her and tell her of the great love her Heavenly Father has for her.

I have been praying for you guys. We are so proud of you. Ephesians 1:16 says, "I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers."
