Tuesday Update on Hannah 10-07-08

Well today was an action packed day at the hospital. When I arrived at 8:30 am the lab techs had already been in and woke up Hannah to draw blood. She and daddy where not happy campers, since she had a rough night and they where sound asleep. The hospital had the student nurses there today, so every hour they where in our room doing something with Hannah or asking questions about everything. I finally got her to sleep around 10am and the nurse wants me to wake her to take her vitals. I told her NO WAY!!!!!!!! She could take the vitals later on. The peditrician came around 1:00 to take her nose tubes out and change her dressing. I have to say Hannah LOOKS great! She has the cutiest little nose and her lip looks really good. Her leg looks good too. The doctor could not get anymore infection out! PRAISE THE LORD! The doctor told me that all of her levels are coming down. Hannah's white blood cell was at 32,000 now it is 13,0000. The antiboditic levels are still in normal range. The doctor said that everything looks really good and her body is responding to the medication. I just have to say that God is really good. We had the MRI done today to. That was interesting. The nurses gave Hannah some medication that was suppose to put her to sleep. Yeah right. It did the opposite! IT WIRED her up. It took 2 1/2 hours for her to finally collaspe out of exsuastion. We get down to the MRI and she sleeps for 30 mins. She was suppose to sleep for at least 1 1/2 so they could do the MRI and PICC line. We should have the MRI results tomorrow when the doctor gets there. The MRI is going to tell us how long we have to be on the medication. If the infection has done anything to her muscles or bone she will have to be on the medication longer. Hopefully we will get to come home Friday or Saturday. I have gotten a couple of e-mails asking what medication they have her on. It is an IV only medication and it is Vancomycin. Over all Hannah is doing just fine. Her additude is still great. She amazes me when I think about her life. I wonder what would have happened to her if this had happened in China. We have had her 3 months today and it seems like we have had her forever. I again have to say God is good. I want to thank everyone everywhere who has been praying for us. Each prayer has truely been felt. The first 36 hours where pretty rough for me. I had a hard time watching her be so sick and have that high of a temp, but again God is good and he was taking care of our little one.
