Ice Cream Sundae Night!!

While we were at the grocery store today the kids wanted to get stuff to make ice cream sundaes.  They had a blast making their own sundaes.  This is a treat around here.  All of our kids LOVE ice cream.  One of my most vivid memories of Hannah and ice cream was when were in China. We were sitting at the deli outside of our hotel eating a ice cream bar she didn't like it at first, but when she realized what it was this kid was all over that ice cream.  I would hold that bar and she would just lick it and bite it, but it was a sad moment when it was all gone.  She just didn't understand that there was no more to eat.  It was funny and sad at the same time. I just kept thinking of all that we take for granite, as simple as having ice cream.  She had never had anything like that before.  Jake & Emily were in tears realizing what they have had all their life and their little sister had never experienced the simple joys of ice cream.  Ice cream brings back wonderful memories for all of us!!
