Get Well!!

Emily made a card for Ava!! Hannah said they need to mail it to her. Emily told her that Ava would want to see her face so they are taking her picture with it and posting it on Facebook for her to get. How times have changed. Everyone gets everything in that matter of seconds now days. Instant cards with pictures and comments. Ava hope you have a speedy recovery. Love you lots little one!!

Grill Cheese!!!!

Emily took these pictures of Jacob while he was cooking his bacon grill cheese sandwich. He is so funny while attempting to cook!!! Our kids do know how to cook a few things for themselves and others. Since they are home schooled we have tried to focus on some basic home economics skills. I believe everyone needs to know the basics of cooking, doing laundry, sewing a button, cleaning house, etc.... I want them to be prepared for when they are on their own.

Watching it closely makes it cook faster!!

You want me to do what???? Cook another bacon grill cheese sandwich. Why didn't you say you wanted one when I was cooking mine. Really Em?!?! I love you, but really!!! Seriously!!!

UTI's stink!!!

It has been a wonderful evening. David & I had a date to the Urgent Care for me. When I get the least bit stressed I get a wonderful thing called a Urinary Tract Infection. I got my drugs and I should be ok in a couple of days!!! I think I caught this one before it got to bad!

Update on Ava

Ava's surgery went really well today. The doctors replaced her pulmonary valve with a pig valve and repaired her artery. Ava is in ICU right now until she is able to be moved to a regular room. Her parents are able to be with her. I talked to April a couple of times today and she said that everything went really well and they are in good hands!!! Please pray for a speedy recover and little pain at this point.

Word of the day!

One word that has been popping into my head off and on all day is the word favoritism. What is favoritism? What does God say about favoritism? Does God like favoritism? There are parts of this word that I like and then there are parts that really just make me sick to my stomach!!! I don't think God likes favoritism. He doesn't play favorites he loves us all equally and accepts all of us for who we are. We each have wonderful talents and as parents we are suppose to encourage those talents out of ALL our children and LOVE them and TREAT them all EQUAL!!

Prayers Please!!!

Please pray for Ava tomorrow as she is going into open heart surgery. Ava is Hannah's crib mate from the orphanage they used to be in. Ava is 4 months older than Hannah. We call them Chinese sisters. The doctors will be replacing Ava's pulmonary valve and repairing her pulmonary artery.

The Grove

Emily wanted to go to LA for the day with her friends for her birthday. We had a fun day. There were lots of laughs and memories made today. The girls did lots of window shopping at The Grove. We had a wonderful lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I had lots of fun watching the five of them laugh at each other and at themselves throughout the day. I love watching their faces at the new sights they encountered throughout the day. I think Emily had a really fun day with her girls. I know I did!!! Happy Birthday!!!
