Ginny's Memorial Service

Homeward Bound

Someone is happy to be headed home! Hannah is super excited to be on the plane headed home. This has been a long week. I have to say Hannah has been amazing through this whole thing. She has been such a good girl. She does tell us from time to time she wants her own bed. You know what kid you will have that tonight! Can't wait to see our kids on the other side! LAX here we come!

As I was going through my mother-in-laws craft room today I came across these items. A few tears were shed today.

Ginny had been sitting in her chair all day. As we were all getting ready to leave she ask David and Kevin to help her get up. They ask her if she wanted to get in bed? Her answer to them was no I want to walk to see the sunshine. Not knowing at the time, but this was Ginny's last trip to the front doors of the hospital to see the sun. I was so happy Kevin ask me to video this to get these memories that they will have of them and their mom!

Our visits with Ginny! Our kids our making lasting memories with their grandma. David is trying to get as much time with his mom as he can. Jacob and Emily are here until Monday night. David and I are staying for a week to help get everything finalized. Kevin is coming in from Baltimore to help us out. I have to say this is hard watching someone slowly slip away from you. It just shows that we have to cherish everyday as if it is our last. We are praying as the days to come that Ginny is not in a lot of pain. My last words are CANCER SUCKS!!!!
