Annual UCLA appointment

Today was Hannah's annual craniofacial team appointment.  This appointment is about 3 to 4 hours long.  When she has these appointments we turn it into a fun day.  We went to breakfast before her appointment to get our tummies full before sitting in an room for 3 plus hours.  Hannah saw 6 different doctors today.  The pediatrician said she looks great and is growing right on target.  She did say that according to the grown chart Hannah is just going to be a little petite cute lady. We were very please with her appointment today.  We go back next November for the next big checkup , but Hannah will still have monthly orthodontist appointments.

Growing up too fast

When I look at her I see a little itty bitty scared baby that was placed in my arms seven years ago. Today when I walked into the kitchen and she was up at the stove making herself a bowl of oatmeal. WOW where did the time go? I have a little girl who is growing up before my eyes. She is learning something new everyday. God is going to do amazing things in her life. One of my favorite things is the one on one time we get in the car going to gymnastics. Somedays we talk the whole way, others maybe listening to praise and worship songs singing along or sometimes Hannah reads the whole way.  I think God blessed us with amazing children to raise for him. I love being their mom!

Ginny

Our visits with Ginny! Our kids our making lasting memories with their grandma. David is trying to get as much time with his mom as he can. Jacob and Emily are here until Monday night. David and I are staying for a week to help get everything finalized. Kevin is coming in from Baltimore to help us out. I have to say this is hard watching someone slowly slip away from you. It just shows that we have to cherish everyday as if it is our last. We are praying as the days to come that Ginny is not in a lot of pain. My last words are CANCER SUCKS!!!!

Dad is going back to the hospital

My dad is going back to the ER this morning. Mom came over this morning and said his weight is up. We were really hoping and praying that the new pill the doctors put him would work.
I don't know if there is any other water medication out there that will work. His kidneys are really taking a hit from ALL the medication that he is on.
Please this morning as mom and dad drive to LA VA Hospital that the doctors working will be able to figure something out for him.

My Dad!

My dad has been in the hospital since June 4. He retained to much water from his congestive heart failure. Since he has been in they have been able to get 25lbs off, but they are wanting to get about 10 more pounds off. I have come to the conclusion that this disease is nasty. It is so hard watching him go through this.  He wants to to so much, but he can't because his gets short of breath, to tired etc... the list goes on. I do have to say through all of this he never complains. Yesterday the doctors started him on a new medication hoping that it would bring his weight down, but this morning he was the same weight as yesterday morning. We are waiting for the doctor to come in to say what the next plan is going to be.
Dad has been in the hospital 6 times since March 30! That is the day my brother passed away.  This has been a hard couple of months! Please keep our family in your prayers!
